Happy Birthday Roxanne Rasmussen

Yes we celebrate our dog's birthday. I have to say I am one of those people that thinks their dog is the most amazing creature on earth. We were so excited for Roxy to turn 4 on January 20th. She got her birthday hamburger and scarfed it down in 2 gulps literally. It was pretty disgusting to watch. She also got to take a walk which is her favorite thing in the world. It was so cold and you could see her little doggie breath but she was having a ball prancing around the neighborhood in her sweater looking beautiful. She really is the greatest dog ever. It's sad when one of your favorite people isn't a "people" at all. She has been such a blessing in my life. Whenever I'm sad or down she is always there to put her head on my leg and just be there for me. She has helped me through some hard times. Some people say that dogs are a waste because they can't earn their keep and are too expensive but I can promise you Roxy has saved me a ton of money in therapy bills. She is fun and makes you feel like the most important person in the world (until Dave enters the room then I might as well be invisible). We have a million nicknames for her and I'm surprised she knows her real name. We call her Roxa, punkin, punkinay, sister, sister love, Roxa foxa, Foxy Roxy, punka, and girlfriend and my personal favorite Princess Sophia. We are pathetic and we don't care. Happy B-day girl!!!!

Three steps to eating the birthday hamburger Roxy style!

Step 1: Grab the whole hamburger and try to choke it down in one gulp.

Step 2: If the burger didn't go down on the first gulp keep trying, no chewing necessary.

Step 3: Lick the floor for any remnants of hamburger that might have escaped.

A Look Back to the Holidays

I didn't post over the holidays because well I was at work most of the time. We had a GREAT Christmas and a very happy New Year. I must have loved it because I still have all the Christmas decorations up. Can you say L-A-Z-Y?!?! We had some friends over for Christmas Eve dinner and played games. Christmas day we did nothing but relax. Dave got us a Wii for Christmas and I LOVE THAT THING. I never have been much of a gamer but I have to tell you I love playing the Wii. I force Dave to play it almost every single day. We actually played quite a bit of tennis just a few minutes ago. (Open invite to anyone who wants to play Wii with us!) We had a few friends over for New Year's Eve also and played more games and tried our darnedest to stay up but 3 prego girls (2 of which have since given birth!) aren't the liveliest bunch after about 10pm. But we made it to see the ball drop and welcome in 2008. Here are some pics of the holidays and Roxy getting into her stocking... literally.

The Never Ending Story

Well once again I have a huge amount of blog catching up to do. I am 22 weeks and let's see what I can catch you up on.....

It's a GIRL
Nausea still around
Raging Indigestion
Squirmy, feisty, wild child fetus
Being VERY picky about crib bedding
Growing a nice round Buddha belly
Rest of me is growing to match

I thought we were all set on a name for a girl but Dave wanted to keep our options open so we were searching and now I have a dilemma, I have 2 names I love. Mia has always been my favorite but now I have one that is quickly catching up...Macy. We saw it in a baby name book and can't help but to LOVE it. They are both cute and we aren't going to decide anything for sure until we see the lil girlie. Dave should have known better than to give me another decision to make. I have searched every store and website for crib bedding but I can't find one "I just have to have" so the search goes on. Lucky me I still have plenty of time.

Another profile, look at that cute nose!

Cutest little foot I've ever seen!
