Yes we celebrate our dog's birthday. I have to say I am one of those people that thinks their dog is the most amazing creature on earth. We were so excited for Roxy to turn 4 on January 20th. She got her birthday hamburger and scarfed it down in 2 gulps literally. It was pretty disgusting to watch. She also got to take a walk which is her favorite thing in the world. It was so cold and you could see her little doggie breath but she was having a ball prancing around the neighborhood in her sweater looking beautiful. She really is the greatest dog ever. It's sad when one of your favorite people isn't a "people" at all. She has been such a blessing in my life. Whenever I'm sad or down she is always there to put her head on my leg and just be there for me. She has helped me through some hard times. Some people say that dogs are a waste because they can't earn their keep and are too expensive but I can promise you Roxy has saved me a ton of money in therapy bills. She is fun and makes you feel like the most important person in the world (until Dave enters the room then I might as well be invisible). We have a million nicknames for her and I'm surprised she knows her real name. We call her Roxa, punkin, punkinay, sister, sister love, Roxa foxa, Foxy Roxy, punka, and girlfriend and my personal favorite Princess Sophia. We are pathetic and we don't care. Happy B-day girl!!!!
Three steps to eating the birthday hamburger Roxy style!
Step 1: Grab the whole hamburger and try to choke it down in one gulp.
Step 2: If the burger didn't go down on the first gulp keep trying, no chewing necessary.
Step 3: Lick the floor for any remnants of hamburger that might have escaped.
