Just wanted to complain a little... as usual. We are a bunch of sick people in this house. This is the last year I don't get a flu shot. I always get one and this year I didn't and I have gotten sick more this winter than any I can remember. Poor Mia has the worst cough and she is going to the doctor tomorrow, after a week of being sick. I'm a horrible mother. The worst.

Photography Techniques
I just read the most interesting blog post about taking pictures of your kids. The best tip I learned was to get down on your child's level for the best pictures. I looked through my favorite pics of Mimi and noticed that the ones I loved the absolute best were pictures I took on her level. For example the lion pictures and the ones I recently posted with her sunflower headband. The tips are great because the author shows you examples of what she is talking about. I am posting the link so you can all read this article and hopefully get some great shots of your angels.

9 Months!!
Mia is growing so fast! I can't believe she is already 9 months! Before we know it we'll be celebrating her birthday. We were anxiously awaiting her 9 month doctors appointment to get her measurements. Drum roll please... height 27 1/2 inches - 50% and weight 17 1/2 lbs - 25%! It's so surprising to me because she seems so tall but I guess it's because she is so skinny. When I look at other babies her age they are so rolly polly but not Mia. Maybe I need to work on fattening her up. Here are a few tidbits about our Mimi. She is a little comedian. She loves to make us laugh by making funny faces or laughing if we laugh. She is FINALLY sleeping well and I feel like I have somewhat of a life now. Her favorite food seems to be apples and chicken (yes that is a combination they make, gross) and I finally got her to drink out of a sippy cup. She loves stuffed animals and her two faves right now are a lamb, Lambert, from her Aunt Kim and Uncle Lee and an elephant, Horton, from her Grandma and Grandpa Rasmussen. One kind of interesting thing she can do is twist her tongue. As far as I can tell it can only twist one way. It is so funny to watch her do it because I've never seen a baby do that before. I'll have to get a picture of it soon. She is crawling and loves picking stuff up and shaking it, no matter what it is. She is a hoot and makes life worth living!
