Try, Try Again

One Of Those Days

Today was one of those days where I just couldn't seem to be happy.  No one upset me and I didn't even realize I was in a bad mood until Dave asked me if I was in one.  (I didn't notice the dog cowering in her kennel or anything.)  Then I realized how much I have to be grateful for in my life.  I am one blessed lady.  I have an amazing husband and a beautiful daughter who brings me more joy in one day than I ever imagined to experience in my whole life.  So cheer up Charlie. Life is good... no, life is EXCEPTIONAL.

Trying To Crawl

Our sweet baby girl has been trying to crawl for so long but it just isn't happening for her.  She mostly just goes backwards.  She gets so frustrated yet she tries it over and over again every time you set her on the ground.  I captured her process one day and it is pretty funny.

She starts out happy in the correct crawling stance.  Look at her she's so full of hope.

Oh but then she feels the need to do a push up on her tippy toes.  Try doing that yourself.  It's not as easy as it looks.

But wait, now she is really showing off!

She is worn out and needs to take a quick rest.  

Finally she has moved but alas, it's backwards!  If you take a look at the pictures above she has moved between the ottoman and couch.  She doesn't look impressed anymore does she.  She may look like her daddy but that is a face she learned from her mother.  No doubt about it.

Christmas in Oregon

Early Christmas in SC

Finally I am posting pics from Christmas.  Mia and I went to SC (thanks to my dad for coming to get us!) for a week and had a great time visiting family.  My mom treated us to a visit to the Biltmore Estate which I've always wanted to see.  Christmas time is a great time to go because practically every room (and there are over 250 rooms) has at least one Christmas tree in it.  The whole mansion/castle is decorated for the holidays.  You can't take pictures inside but it was beautiful.  It is an amazing place to visit if you are ever near Asheville, NC.

Catch Up #2

Mia had two Halloween costumes because her ladybug costume was delivered to the wrong house and I wanted her to be able to dress up for the ward party.  I found this one at Old Navy for 5 bucks.  She is the cutest butterfly ever!

Mia was so funny holding this turkey leg.  These are the only pictures we took on Thanksgiving.  I don't know what I was thinking.

Playing Catch Up

I really need to post my Christmas pictures but first I need to go back and post some Halloween and Thanksgiving pictures.  Yes sometimes we have to go backwards before we can go forwards (or something like that).
