I was sitting in Chick Fil-A with Mia at lunch today. It was just the two of us and it was SO fun. I thought it might be a little weird when I was walking in and there was at least 100 people. But once we sat down to eat we had a blast. She is so fun to be around and growing so fast. I caught our reflection in the window and started crying my eyes out. (Can you say Drama Queen?) I'm sure I looked like a freak to the people around me but I couldn't stop. I was just so happy and thrilled to be with my daughter but sad she was growing up so fast at the same time. It was a great moment. I hope I remember it the next time I'm up to my elbows in snot or something worse!!
Just wanted to complain a little... as usual. We are a bunch of sick people in this house. This is the last year I don't get a flu shot. I always get one and this year I didn't and I have gotten sick more this winter than any I can remember. Poor Mia has the worst cough and she is going to the doctor tomorrow, after a week of being sick. I'm a horrible mother. The worst.
I just read the most interesting blog post about taking pictures of your kids. The best tip I learned was to get down on your child's level for the best pictures. I looked through my favorite pics of Mimi and noticed that the ones I loved the absolute best were pictures I took on her level. For example the lion pictures and the ones I recently posted with her sunflower headband. The tips are great because the author shows you examples of what she is talking about.
